$535.00 NZD SOLD
Another Flutney Partscaster with B Bender installed. A cool dark green body with a few minor dings and scratches, but is in good shape overall. 2-pickup setup featuring a Humbucker neck pickup with Tele bridge pickup, with a 3-position switch. Mini toggle switch flips the phase of the humbucker. Maple neck with maple fingerboard, vintage style tuners (new), tortoise colored 3-ply pickguard. Built from parts, both old and new, to create another great workhorse guitar for the stage and studio.
Features:
— Humbucker bridge pickup wired in parallel (single coil style)
— Alnico V Tele bridge PU
— standard 3-position switch
— 2-way toggle switch flips Humbucker’s phase
Similar to a conventional Tele setup, except the humbucker has MUCH fatter tone than a Tele neck pickup. Phase switch is used when using both pickups, and it will produce thin or fat tone. A very versatile setup.
The B-Bender mechanism is smooth and easy to tune. Body was originally from a Tele clone and the neck is a Tele copy. Maple fretboard is a bit flatter than the older Teles with approx 10 inch radius. Vintage style tuners (new) work well. It’s solid guitar and plays like you’d expect.
Guitar is light weight, approx 6 lbs (3 kg). You can play it all night without destroying your neck and shoulders. Again, never a hard-sell hereā¦ you either like this sort of thing or you don’t, and either way is fine. B-benders aren’t for everyone. but if you know about them, you already know how cool this is. If you don’t know about B-benders, check ’em out. I’m selling these prototypes in NZ only. I don’t make many, so you won’t see them around often.
B Benders aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re a guitar picker who wants to head away from the crowd, you might want to check them out.
Item sold as is. No Reserve, so first bid could take it home. Shipping is from Dunedin. Good luck. Happy to answer any questions, and thanks for looking.
