$655.00 NZD SOLD
A very nice Flutney Partscaster with B Bender installed. A cool dark green body with some minor dings and scratches, but otherwise in great shape. This guitar has a Nashville setup featuring 3 single coil Humbucker pickups and a 5-position switch. Maple neck with maple fingerboard, vintage style tuners (new), tortoise colored 3-ply pickguard. Built from parts, both old and new, that all come together to create a great workhorse guitar for the stage and the recording studio.
Features:
— Alnico 3 standard Tele bridge pickup
— Lipstick Tube middle pickup
— Alnico 3 standard Tele neck pickup
— 5-position switch allows various pickup combinations and a wide range of tone
As mentioned, pickups are single coil types. I added the Lipstick Tube pickup in the center to offer a bit of that “surf sound”. It works well, especially when coupled with the bridge pickup. It has a nice round, biting tone. A very versatile guitar.
The B-Bender mechanism is smooth and easy to tune. This is a solid guitar, though it’s not a showroom model. Lightweight basswood body is from a no-name Tele clone and the neck started out in life as a Squire. The fretboard is a bit flatter than older Teles, more like a modern rock guitar. Vintage style tuners (new) work well. The guitar plays like you’d expect.
Guitar is light weight, approx 6 lbs (3 kg), but still has big, fat tone. Play it all night without destroying your neck and shoulders. Again, no hard-sell hereā¦ you’ll either it or you won’t. If you know about B-benders, you already know how cool this guitar is. If you don’t know about B-benders, you might want to check ’em out. I’m selling these in NZ only. I don’t make very many, so you won’t see them around very much.
B Benders aren’t for everyone, but if you’re a guitar player who wants to head away from the crowd, you might want to check out what you can do with one.
Item sold as is. Shipping is from Dunedin. Happy to answer any questions, and thanks for looking.
