$625.000 NZD SOLD
Another Flutney Partscaster with B Bender installed. A cool dark blue body that has a few minor dings and scratches, but is in great shape otherwise This guitar has a Nashville setup featuring 3 single coil Humbucker pickups and a 5-position switch. Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, vintage style tuners, tortoise colored 3-ply pickguard. Built from parts, both old and new, that all come together to create a great workhorse guitar for the stage and the recording studio.
Features:
— Alnico V Humbucker bridge pickup
— Alinico V Humbucker offset middle pickup
— Alnico V Humbucker neck pickup
— 5-position switch allows various pickup combinations and a wide range of tone
The Humbuckers are single coil types. I switched the neck and middle pickups because I think they sound better in those positions. The offset middle pickup has a nice round, biting tone, especially when mixed with either the bridge or the neck pickup. A very versatile guitar.
The B-Bender mechanism is smooth and easy to tune. It’s a solid guitar, but certainly not a showroom model. Body is from a no-name Tele clone and the neck started out in life as a Squire. Rosewood fretboard is a bit flatter than the older Teles. Vintage style tuners (new) work well. It’s solid guitar and plays like you’d expect.
Guitar is light weight, approx 6 lbs (3 kg), but still has big, fat tone. You can play it all night without destroying your neck and shoulders. Again, no hard-sell hereā¦ you’ll either like this or you won’t. If you know about B-benders, you already know how cool this is. If you don’t know about B-benders, check ’em out. I’m selling these prototypes in NZ only. I don’t make very many, so you won’t see many of them around.
B Benders aren’t for everyone, but if you’re a guitar player who wants to head away from the crowd, you might want to check them out.
