$755.00 NZD SOLD
This butterscotch “Blackguard” guitar is clean as a whistle. Features include maple neck and fingerboard, classic black pickguard. Built from parts, both old and new, and put together to create a very good workhorse guitar, for live performance and for the recording studio.
The guitar has a hot Tele style neck pickup, matched with a classic Alnico 3 in the bridge position. The B-Bender mechanism works very smoothly and is easy to tune when restringing.
It’s a very clean guitar with a high gloss finish. There are two small burls in the maple neck, one at the 3rd fret and one at the 15th fret (see photos). These are cosmetic only and do not at all affect the guitar’s performance. The neck is fairly flat and fast, like the more modern Tele necks. Overall, this is a good looking, solid guitar and plays great.
Guitar is medium weight, approx 6.5 lbs (3.3 kg), so you can play it all night without destroying your neck and shoulders. Again, no hard-sell hereā¦ you either like it or you don’t. If you know about B-benders, you already know how cool this one is. If you don’t know about B-benders, check ’em out. I’m selling these prototypes in NZ only. I don’t make very many, so you won’t see many of them around.
B Benders are not for everyone, but if you’re a guitar picker who wants to head away from the crowd, you might want to check them out.
