Hardluck Partscaster with B Bender
About this guitar:
Put together from parts. Some are new, most I had laying around, and some parts I made myself. This guitar is truly a one of a kind. Lots of road wear on the body. It has been repainted several times over the years, and has a lot of battle scars, but it is still very serviceable and solid. Yellowish body has several marks and scars, with old paint showing through in a lot of places. If you’re looking for a cosmetically perfect guitar, this ISN’T for you! It’s the reason this one is going for a less money than usual, so it’s a good opportunity to get into a B Bender.
The neck is a “plain Jane” Tele type maple with a rosewood fingerboard and is in solid condition. Older style Tele type tuners (new). Standard Tele setup with 2 pickups and a 3-position switch.
Alnico 3 type neck pickup is very hot and smooth sounding, and the bridge pickup is a classic sounding Tele type with that trademark “quack”. Very good sounding guitar. Classic Tele sound. Old style ashtray bridge with steel saddles. The B-bender device is very smooth and positive. It’s easy to adjust the tuning when restringing.
Guitar is light weight, approx 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg). Proof that you don’t need a heavy guitar to get big, fat tone. You can play this one all night without destroying your neck and shoulders.
