Thinline Partscaster with B Bender
You won’t see too many Thinlines with B Benders in ’em. This one is a hybrid from the word go. A beat up old body with a similar neck attached, this thing looks like it was rode hard and put away wet. But don’t let it’s appearance fool you, it’s a stunning guitar.
The custom pickguard was made to allow for the P-90 soapbar/tele single coil pickup combination. The reversed switchplate lets you do those Bill Kirchen volume swells with your little finger (who needs a volume pedal?). Stock Tele type bridge plate and steel saddles, with vintage style (almost new) Kluson type Tele tuners.
A medium weight guitar (7.5 pounds), this is another guitar that reinforces my appreciation for the P-90/Tele bridge pickup combination. Very versatile, with a wide range of sounds from the classic Tele “quack” to the bluesy Gibson single coil sound. With a B Bender thrown in, to boot!
